Cassella

Cassella was founded as a tar-extraction plant in 1870, in Fechenheim near Frankfurt am Main. It was one of the large German chemical companies that joined together to form the I.G. Farben concern in 1925. Cassella Farbwerke Mainkur AG was newly founded as one of the successor companies in 1951, and in 1995 it merged with Hoechst AG.
