Neubert, Gerhard
Born in Johanngeorgenstadt in 1909, apprenticed as piano maker, worked in furniture factory from 1931 on, inducted into Waffen-SS in 1940, assigned to Auschwitz in mid-1942, served as SS medical orderly in prisoner infirmary of the Buna/Monowitz concentration camp from early 1943, service in other concentration camps, briefly arrested by British Army in 1945, sentenced to three and one-half years in prison in second Frankfurt Auschwitz Trial in Sept. 1966, released in 1971, died in 1993.
