Hachshara
Hebrew term for "preparation," here: professional training in trades or agriculture as preparation for immigration to Palestine/Israel. In the 1920s and 1930s, the Zionist youth movement in Germany maintained a number of Hachshara camps or Hachshara centers. In 1941, the Hachshara programs were banned by the Gestapo.
