Heydebreck

This community in Upper Silesia was known in Polish as Kandrzin. In 1939, I.G. Farben began building several chemical plants there. Production started in 1944, with 14,000 employees and numerous prisoners of war. Heavy damage was inflicted by Soviet air attacks in 1944, and the facilities were never completed.
