Oberkapo
Prisoner functionaries who worked in labor administration were called Oberkapos. Even before the building of the Buna/Monowitz concentration camp, there was an Oberkapo at the head of every detachment working at the I.G. construction site. In Monowitz, larger detachments had one Oberkapo apiece, who in turn was in charge of several Kapos.
