Part of the camp administration organized by prisoner functionaries. All prisoners were registered here, and transport lists were made here when prisoners had been selected for "transfer" to Birkenau. In the administrative office, workers had the extremely risky opportunity to remove names from selection lists, in order to save individual prisoners.
