Stehbunker
In Block 11 of the Auschwitz I main camp, there were so-called standing bunkers for several prisoners in the basement, as well as ordinary cells. In the Stehbunker, prisoners were confined in a space measuring 90 x 90 centimeters, with a small hatch to admit air. Sometimes there were four prisoners in the "standing bunker."
